Great local cooking. I had the grilled prime rib, apple crisp, and salad. All were tasty with appropriate portions. The tossed salad was especially nice as it had both red and green bell peppers; zucchini; mushrooms; red onion; and broccoli, which is a nice change from the traditional cucumber, lettuce, and tomato typically found in a tossed salad. Steak also came with roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. Only downside is meal didn't come with bread.
Very small, only ten tables in the main dining area with a separate banquet room. The lighting is very dim, making it difficult to see fellow diners. Decor is somewhat dated and worn but clean and the carpet appeared new. The menu is simple, seasonal and reasonably priced. We ordered lobster stuffed mushroom caps as an appetizer and they were incredibly succulent and delicious. Hubby ordered the prime rib dinner special which was cooked to perfection. I had the lobster dinner. My meal came in two separate plates (the lobster displayed beautifully in one, and fresh local potatoes and seasonal vegetables on the other). Everything tasted so fresh and was cooked perfectly to my liking. We chatted briefly with our server after the meal, who turned out to be the owners son. He was extremely friendly and helpful with information about the area. I recommend this establishment.
The restaurant came highly recommended from the clerk at the hotel. I must say this staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this place.
Well where to start, I went here based on it being #2. Very disappointed. I ordered the Seafood Chowder, arrived cold, sent it back only to get the exact one Imhad just returned, but nuked for a couple of minutes. It was tasteless. Then ordered their special. Steak with oven roasted potatoes, some kind of coquille st Jacques and veggies. I asked for med/well, got a piece of black charcoal, the veggies were from of the frozen bag kind and the coquille, don't even want to think about it. Very very disappointing. I felt bad for our waitress, she was nice, but not much she can do. She offered to take the main dish back, but Inwas scared to what could happen on my next choice. Was very hungry so ate it and went straight for the tums at the hotel. On a good note, the #1 on this list that we tried yesterday, was worth every penny, delicious in every aspect and cost 10$ less in total
