Barb's Family Diner - New Glasgow

This is a small restaurant with home style food. Portion sizes are large. I had fish and chips which were very good. My wife had the soup which was also excellent. The desserts were also home style. Will visit again if I am in the area.

Had a very enjoyable breakfast. Table service was good, food was hot and plentiful at a fair price. Would recommend this to families or the lonely traveler looking for a good breakfast.

I went to Barbs for dinner. The fish is outstanding. The owner and staff are very friendly and professional. The size of fish and taste is better than any other place I’ve been that serves haddock. You leave full and may have to take leftover with you. 5 out of 5.

We're old fashioned, home cooking type people. Barb's filled the bill superbly. We had a scallop dinner and a seafood platter. Everything was hot and tasty.Even the tartar sauce which by the way was home made. Next trip which will be soon, we'll avail ourselves of their home made desserts. The wait staff were gracious, pleasant and efficient.

My husband and I left the highway at New Glasgow exit to find breakfast. We traveled a few miles to Barb’s Diner. It was nearly full at 10am. My omelette was delicious, and my husband’s pancakes were good. Portions were huge, so we may enjoy leftovers for lunch!
