Macpennys Nursery Tearoom - New Forest

We had the most amazing afternoon tea at this restaurant. Everything was freshly made, with a fantastic selection of sandwiches. Each person received four large pieces of cake and the scones were the biggest and most delicious we've ever had. The tea, coffee, and lemonade choices were excellent. The staff were exceptional, accommodating our specific tastes and allergies with no trouble at all. Overall, it was a truly wonderful afternoon spent here.

This cafe is my absolute favorite! I have tried all of the cafes in the area, and this one stands out. The staff is friendly and polite, the food is amazing. The poached eggs and bacon are the best I've ever had. The coffee is top-notch. I wish I could eat here every day. Thank you, Robin's Nest, you're the best!

Visited for tea and cake with a friend, whom I had not seen for some time. Upon arrival, we found that the log burner wasn’t lit and the tea room was cold and somewhat damp – not very welcoming. However, the main reason for not going back was due to a member of staff having an exceptionally loud voice! We couldn’t hear ourselves speak and when she spoke to other customers (who she appeared to know), we were drowned out and we couldn’t wait to leave , as soon as our coffee and cake allowed. Shame really, as the coffee and cake were very good.

I have been to this restaurant a few times. They have amazing tea and cakes and the staff is wonderful. The atmosphere is lovely. However, during my last visit for breakfast, I found it to be mediocre. The full English breakfast was a small portion for £9.95. The plate, toast, and coffee were all cold and lacked flavor. Despite this, I still enjoy the restaurant and would consider returning in the future, although probably not for breakfast.

Hands down the best afternoon tea we ve had.....and we ve had a few! The two ladies there were a joy, nothing was too much trouble and the food was amazing.
