Pepe - Neumarkt i.d.Opf.

After living in Texas for a spell, my standards for Mexican/TexMex food are pretty high. Pepe's was typical of the European Mexican food I have had in the past no where near spicy enough, small portions, and tortilla chips from a bag. Not terrible, just not very Mexican!

I ordered the quesedillas and pollo picante tapas. The quesedillas were cold with cheap, sliced cheese inside that wasn't melted. The chicken also had grissle on it. The servers mixed up vegetarian and meat based dishes and were really unhelpful and unfriendly. I would have sent the food back, but unfortunately we didn't have time before the table was needed for the next guests. We won't be eating there again as the prices are way too expensive for the bad quality.

We were party of 4. Excellent selection. waiter took care of one guest who had some dietary requirements. Burgers were well made. Big portions. Tasty. Excellent sweet-potato chips Long-drinks also decent selection and service was well above average. I would go there again without hesitation. Prices very reasonable.

Fantastic mexican food and local beer with excellent service! Wirth to visit and taste it. Tried couple of times and it was aleays a nice experience.
