. Food was just ok at best. Brisket was dry as was the pulled pork. Coleslaw was very soupy. I arrived after work to meet a friend (6pm). Hours posted till 8pm. At 6:45 the music and air were turned off, the curtains were drawn and sign flipped to Closed. Oh ok I guess we get the hint. Probably won’t be back.
MayBells BBQ is truly a cut above the norm! The food is exceptional. From David’s smoking expertise to Jillian’s side dishes you will not be disappointed. Just don’t ask for any burnt ends. Those are saved for me?
So I read a lot of reviews about this place and thought I’d try it…For starters, a couple of the other reviews mentioned that there was a taste in the brisket) that they couldn’t figure out… WELL, it’s CUMIN… and a whole lot of it!! Same with the BBQ sauce!! Speaking of that; Texas BBQ is more sweet vs. spicy Tex-Mex flavors…Cole Slaw was extremely soupy… half the bowl was liquid) The BBQ beans were perfect!! Now the big one!!!For “3” slices of Brisket 2 meat plate, I did DOUBLE brisket) it was over $25.00… Does that mean, if I ordered 2 different types of meat, I would have only gotten 1 1/2 slices of brisket???? Points to ponder… All in All a C+ oh yeah, as for dining in, they have ample room!!Thanks for reading… CHEF MARC
This place is one of the best places for BBQ, everytime I'm in the area I stop for lunch, their brisket is the best, today I got some pulled pork and was amazed at how good the pulled pork is. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. I go to much they always know what I'm going to order. I always get the loaded fries.
