Try Sotong Petai! Still among the best places to get Asam Fish. My personal favorite and highly recommended. Clean place and helpful waiters, but if it is peak hours, you must be patient.

Amazing food! Amazing!!! So delicious!!! I think it's a place where most locals visit, the fish was extremely fresh, just delicious! What else can I say?

Has dinner for 4, ordered Assam fish (red snapper), Sambal sotong, shrimp, Petai, stir fry kangkong and Omelet with onions. Sit down, go to the front counter to choose the fish and other foods. The menu listed in the Chinese character is displayed. Can she ask for advice if you are not sure what to order. Overall, the food was prepared quite quickly, the Assam fish is not sour compared to others. I like it pretty much while I'm usually not a fan of assam stuff. Not too sharp. Petai was quite little and this sotong shrimp dish was quite spicy and also a little expensive. Is a neighborhood shop, was full during dinner.

Veggie dishes were a bit too oily for me but the rest tasted amazing! I really love the chicken with rice balls and Assam fish. Would totally go back
