Bidra med feedbackMany Apres ski options. All foods were delivered quickly and no disappointments. Had three dinners, steak, snitty and pizzas, all really good
I came to have a few beers in the Off Piste Bar (in the same general space, because they seem to be the only bar in the entirety of Mt. Buller now with actual seats at the bar, and to order some food (provided by... this restaurant . I saw the terrible reviews (2.8 on Google overall, how I write this terrible service, food takes forever, etc. I think if I have at 6 bad order it can be a beer and a beer. “Oh, we have a few large groups so that the kitchen does not take orders up to 7.” I'm fine, don't worry, I have a few beers. Let me know if the kitchen's finished earlier. Someone comes by at 6:45 and says they're ready. I go to the restaurant to order: “Who told you that? It is 7.” OK I go back to the bar; I'll wait 15 minutes. Go back at 7. “Oh, it will be 7:30, buddy.” You deserve your star.
This restaurant serves the worst food I have ever had. The carbonara was simply an expensive bowl of pasta with no resemblance to an actual carbonara dish. The chips were cold, the staff was rude, and there was a lack of cutlery and napkins. The food was bland and there was no salt or pepper provided. The restaurant was dirty and the vacuum cleaner was left out in the open. The employees seemed arrogant and unbothered by customers. There was no pride in the dining experience. We decided to give it a second chance due to its proximity to our accommodation, but we will not be returning. Overall, it was a terrible dining experience.
I usually like to write detailed reviews of the places I visit, but I have been going to this restaurant for years and it never disappoints. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the wine selection is great. While it may not be a five-star restaurant, it offers a cozy atmosphere and a wonderful variety of Italian dishes that are perfect for families. The Aranci balls were delicious, my daughter's bolognaise was excellent, and my husband enjoyed his meal as well. Whenever we travel from Melbourne to Mt Buller, this is our go-to spot as it is conveniently located near our lodge. The consistent quality of the food allows me to relax with a glass of wine and leave the cooking to someone else, which is all I need in a dining experience.
A shame the restaurant is right next to the bar with no effective barrier to the noise etc from the bar area. Pizzas seemed to be ok (my adult children had pizza) , the carbonara was possibly the worst I have ever had tasteless...with only a few lumps of ham thrown in to try to give some flavour to the pasta.
