Bidra med feedbackThe food at this restaurant was excellent. The waiter provided great and polite service. Unfortunately, the manager was arrogant and treated the staff poorly. One staff member was setting up tables outside when the manager banged on the window and yelled orders at him, which was completely unnecessary.
I visited Johnny's restaurant on a busy Friday evening. My friend and I were waiting for our table at the bar when the manager, who I believe is named Jack, yelled at a young lady working behind the bar so severely that she began to cry. This behavior was cruel and not acceptable. It is disappointing to see management treating their employees this way. If I were in her shoes, I would have quit immediately. It is clear that the management believes they are more important than the staff, which is not the case. It is concerning to think that this kind of treatment may continue in the future.
The service at this restaurant, from the management team to the rest of the staff, was extremely poor. I dined here in August and again in September, hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case. It was clear that management favored non-minority guests, providing them with attentive service, while minority guests were completely overlooked. Despite the good quality of the food, it was not enough to make up for feeling unwelcome and ignored in the establishment.
Have been there many times and had a great experience. It can be very busy, however, so make reservations (call or online form) for busy nights like Valentine's Day. I have sent one steak back and got no hassle whatsoever. Ordered chicken strips for my son once which were undercooked... but usually a great time with a well stocked bar and wine cellar.
We made our reservations 6 weeks in advance for Valentine 's Day and I had been looking forward to my Parmesan Encrusted New York Strip steak all day. This was my favorite meal at this restaurant and I 've had it many times in the past. First, the service; I asked for a glass of water three times over the course of an hour before our waitress, Beverly, finally brought it. I ordered an Espresso martini WITH cream and she brought me one without cream. Our drinks were delayed all night because they did not have enough martini glasses to go around. I had to go to the bar myself to get A1 for my husband 's steak. He asked for it when the waitress brought our steaks and 10 minutes later it still had not come. When the waitress finally came back, she still didn 't have A1 with her! Second, our food: I order my steak medium as always, it came terribly rare. I sent it back to be cooked further and when it came back, the parmesan crust was burnt. I sent it back again. By the time the rest of the table had been served dessert, the waitress came out and told me they would take my meal off the bill which is great, but I still had no food! The bills came for our meals and I still hadn 't eaten. I went and asked to speak with the manager and the assistant mgr. came out and proceeded to tell me that the manager gave me a choice of getting my food or taking it off the bill and I chose taking it off the bill. I asked for the manager to come out because he never gave me any such choice. The mgr. came out and told me that there was a misunderstanding and what he said is that I told the waitress that. So, I had the waitress come out because I never said any such thing to her. I stood there arguing about my food with these people for 20 minutes! The manager said the more you cook your steak the darker your parm crust will be. Folks, I 've eaten that steak for years and that has never been the case. Finally, at the end of our argument, the mgr. offered to cook me some food to go. I was so angry at this point, and our table guests were ready to go, I told him no, to forget it. My Valentine 's dinner was ruined, and at no point did any one say, I am so sorry for the mix up, please accept our apologies and if you can please wait 10 minutes we 'll have your food ready. Instead, I get ma 'am, do you want to me to make your food? I am still angry that I never got to eat and that these managers felt it necessary to argue with a customer for 20 minutes.
