Elena's Taco Shop - Memphis

Only giving it one star because no stars isn't an option. Terrible food, very expensive and definitely NOT worth it! The food was bland and watery, so much so, that the corn tortillas are soggy and falling apart. The restaurant is dirty full of flies and bugs. Taco Bell is so much better and less expensive. The food is as nasty as the restaurant! 0 out of 0 points for this dump.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Came here on a short trip from Chicago to visit Graceland and family who moved here from Chicago. Family member told us that you can't find food out here like in Chicago,boy were they right! We were looking for a good pizza out here,forget that idea. So now for dinner we thought we would try this place based on reviews. Big mistake! This was the worse mistake we could have made!! In all my 61 years, I have never seen a taco so small and tasteless as these. Taco Bell even puts more meat on their tacos! I spent $27 on tacos for me and the wife, and we had had to order a medium pizza when we were done ,because we were still hungry, that was another mistake,they have no clue what pizza should taste like. On our way to New Orleans, God I hope the food is better out there!

Would like to have commented on the food, however, I stood in there for five minutes listening to what sounded like a party in the back and NO ONE ever arrives to greet or take orders. Also, dining room posted prices are now about 10% higher than online menu. Clicked Take Out because I took myself out of there unnoticed.

I was there on 10/7/22 I place my order through the drive through with the cashier . She repeated my order to me after 3 times and then I get my order it’s completely wrong and to top it off it was cold . She didn’t give me anything to eat with nor napkins . I’ve been trying to call the location since Friday and nobody answer . I will never recommend the location at Cordova but the location on Summer is so much better. I spend 25.00 for some nasty cold food that the cashier couldn’t even get right and nor will they answer the call. Bad Business

If you are looking for some west coast style Mexican, this is the place! I have crushed on a Carne Asada California Burrito and some rolled tacos last night and loved every bite. I definitely ate my fair share of Tacos and Burritos, and Elena definitely knows what they're doing. I'll order them again tonight for my last night in Memphis.
