Local Yocal Bbq Grill - McKinney

The atmosphere is great. This restaurant is in a historic old building that was a grocery store. Super hip vibe. The BBQ appetizer platter was just ok. It lacked flavor and to have BBQ in the name of the restaurant, it should be much better and the app was the only BBQ on the menu. I had the salad with wagyu sirloin on it. That was good, but again, not great. Overall, great vibe, but food is nothing to get excited about. I was hoping for so much more.

I've been here 4x previously and the food and service are usually excellent. This evening we waited unnecessarily long for our food and we got ignored for over an hour at one point. Our food finally arrived after the restaurant had emptied out. Some of it was burned and poorly prepared.

Great service and good food. The appetizers where okay. The house made sourdough bread was toasted with char which gave it an unique flavor with the smoked cheese. The house made chips was yummy. The meats were really good from the bbq, to burger to house made ham in the Cuban.

Went for a work conference. Friendly staff, delicious appetizers and great size portions.

Delicious, truly an impressive menu with a staff that knows their stuff. Went here for lunch with some friends last week and had a great experience. Didn’t see anything on the menu that I wouldn’t have tried. Had the brisket and ribs combo as well as salad and mac and cheese. Save room for dessert, you’ll want that too.
