Bidra med feedbackOne of the few restaurants in Martel opened between Cnristmas and Newyears eve. Happy. There was a chance to get to know this restaurant better. Very friendly service! Not an extensive car, but enough! Excellent choice in wine. Well prepared food. We will return.
For lunch a popped and chose Razor Shell Clams in garlic and parsley for starters to finish lamb hacks for main with a chocolate dessert and a few glasses of wine recommended by our waiter. A very pleasant Sunday dinner. Great restaurant in a really beautiful village.
The place has everything: A beautiful location in the pedestrian zone (near Saveur des Halles), a friendly and attentive service and good food. I'm looking forward to coming back here. This is not unnoticed so that the place...will be alive; booking before is advisable (especially if seats are not available outside due to weather conditions). The foie grass was excellent, while the cheese plate was only average; what others ordered around me also smells very delicious. An important tip: Allow space for a dessert – the “pommes” (a bit like an apple crumb, but much, much better) are heavenly.
One of the few restaurants in Martel which was open between Cnristmas and Newyears eve. Lucky us. It gave the opportunity to get to know this restaurant better. Very friendly service! Not an extensive carte but sufficient! Excellent choice in wine. Well prepared food. We...will return.
We discovered this restaurant by chance. It was simply a great experience on many accounts. We had lunch on the terrasse, great weather and the medieval city of Martel is just a pleasure to the eye. The menu is great and the most difficult part...is actually choosing as everything looks appealing. Our waitress was extremely nice, explaining more in detail the dishes even if the menu is self explanatory and far from the sometime pedantic terms that some French restaurants like to use. As a family we had a variety of dishes and all were equally delicious; tasty, balanced and well presented. Service is top notch i.e. simple, nice and efficient. My only regret: not living in Martel to go there regularly ! They also have a shop inside where you can buy some local specialties of Perigord (their ' 'huile de noix ' ' is out of this world ! . Really ' 'Bravo à toute l 'équipe ' '; it 's been a really lovely experience and you really have a great restaurant, better than many 1 star restaurant I have the opportunity to experience
