Gecko - Louangphrabang

Delicious food, friendly owners. I stayed a week in Muang Ngoy and tried several places, but Gecko was one of my favorites I ate a lot here. Your local dishes are incredibly delicious, but if you want a variety, there are also many Western options. All foods are freshly cooked to order so ready to wait while these beautiful people make your meal. You also have a good cocktail menu that makes Gecko a very social place to hang in the evening. Thanks to Kai and your team for so beautiful memories of Muang Ngoy!

Several times came here during my stay in Muang Ngoy. Coffee is ingenious, freshly ground Arabica with espresso machine (not the normal Lao coffee). The food is also great, they have their own small garden and you can taste it! Highly rexomming!

Although it is pricier than other local restaurants around it is worth it. The restaurant is nice, the staff is friendly and speaks good English and the food we order was delicious. The Baguettes are delicious and they have local and western dishes. I'd say it was the best restaurant we visited in town.

6 of them was possible. Great cocktails, great Suzy dish, super nice service (Korea girls).

Only had coffee (rare actual espresso on a personal-sized machine--the best it gets in Muong Ngoi) and homemade coconut ice cream, delicious. Friendly owners tend and source from their organic garden. Seems like an excellent conscious set up there in the quaintest touristed village.
