Calicantus Bistrot - Lodi

Bistrot bar inside the hospital, spacious with piano bar space. Very crowded during breakfast and lunch break. Good coffee, also served as summer cream. Good brioches. Interesting some hot dishes.

Located in the hospital context, I think it is one of the best bars within a hospital. The cast is so much, the amount of customers is justifiable from the context in which it is located. Coffee is not bad, brioches are frozen and then past the oven I think, there are also pastries. It is divided into two counters: one for the bar service and the other for refreshment. The choice of products is wide, no exaggerated portions and quite contained. The prices of the bar are the most common, useless to say that they increase according to the needs. The hair is the scratched glass counter!I believe it was a somewhat unhappy choice.... Also unhappy the idea of putting brioches under the glass counter,the counter is tight so as much as one can choose what to take often people cross the counter approaching with the finger on the products (not hygienic). There are many brioches and pastries without a tag and when there is a row and you want to know how the various brioches are stuffed becomes a battle. For those concerning the station the staircase to reach it is not the best thing especially for people who struggle to make it... there is an elevator but it is not easy to reach it from the ground floor (the bar is located a few steps below from the entrance floor). Always remember: clashes at hand and have patience sometimes you forget your consummation.... with all the amount of customers it is understandable.
