Root River Unwined - Lanesboro

This is a lovely wine bar in a charming town. They have a very nice patio area where we dined but the inside was also very nice. We had the Autumn charcuterie board and it made a lovely, light lunch with interesting, tasty assortment. As with almost every place since Covid they were short staffed but the owner/waiter was prompt and friendly. We plan to return to try other items on the menu.

We each had a few glasses of wine and the autumn charcuterie board. It was so cute and a perfect snack to split. This is a cute, gem of a place.

Nice location and patio. Too bad the menu is limited and overpriced. Don't dare complain about your watered out salad dressing. The wealthy owner has thin skin and will take offense. She should not be in the hospitality business.

Excellent Cosmo, maybe the best I've ever had. Delicious walleye dinner, included fantastic wild rice and fresh, hand cut veggies. also the curry coconut soup was excellent- packed with well balanced flavors. Luckily they had an inside table available!! Service very good!

Visited Lanesboro for a short weekend getaway and went to Unwined 3 times in 2 days. The food is great and waitstaff is very friendly. If they were open for breakfast we would have gone for that too!
