Hardee's - Lake Park

The best service at a fast food restaurant. We were stopping for gas and on our way to Disney. Wasn't sure if we would eat there, walked in and we were greeted so well! The lady who appeared to be a manager let us know that fresh chicken tenders just came out, and even asked us if we wanted to try one. She brought our order out to our table. Great hospitality. And very unexpected.

Hardee's has really been going downhill. I see them closed all over the place. And I get why. Low pay, newer generations don't care. It was with a great heart we decided to stop because I miss them. And lemme tell you, this lil location DID IT RIGHT!!!! My favorite go to is, of course the Mushroom Swiss. And normally it's bland with no taste. My first bite brought treats to my eyes it was so good. And to think, it was in a gas station and not a stand alone location. This has brought back my hope that we don't lose Hardee's like we lost Roy Rogers. The wife got chicken fingers and I could hear the crisp over GPS ???

I normally enjoy a Hardee burger over any other fast food hamburger restaurant but my last trip yesterday went straight in the trash. It was over cooked and dry and the bread was rubbery. Not to mention I had to wait 10 minutes for 2 combo meals. The only thing that was fresh and edible were the french fries.

The burger was great as usual, but that apple pie is not so much. I ended up feeding the trash can the apple pie.

I stopped by this location about 2 weeks ago on my way back to FL. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, and the attitudes of the employees. It is a rare sight to come across a fast food joint that can check both boxes. If you’re looking for a quality Hardees, put this one on your list.
