Jefferson House - LAKE HOPATCONG

Fun, relaxed atmosphere, live music, outdoor bar, panoramic view of the lake, while we just stopped for a drink on the deck, I am happy to offer more to experience Jefferson House.

Stopped by for dinner tonight and brought our pup. Everything was great from service to food. Love they are dog friendly on the deck and she had a blast playing with everyone. Owner stopped by to say hello. It was our first visit and we'll be back.

Went here today for the first time. They were really busy because it's Labor Day so we had a bit of a wait but that's to be expected. Once we were seated on the deck service was very good. There's a gorgeous view of the lake and boats and cool vibe. Food was okay and reasonably priced. There are a lot of steps though to enter and I didn't see a handicapped entrance.

Not only do I have to update my review, I have to delete the old one completely. Sitting on a Saturday night and the place jumped! Live entertainment was very good and service did maintain a brightuva job. The old Jefferson House could also be a very busy sea bar. The difference is now that it is also a place to get great food. My previous review (a few years old) said to stay at Burger and Pommes, no longer! Try the tacos; try the filled mushrooms; Try the fish and chips! That's good! I would recommend other dishes, but that's all I had so far. We're so happy we came back! One note: Lose politics. Everyone is entitled to his opinion, but having displayed it everywhere is a bit insane.

Beautiful location. You can either come by boat and park on the dock or bring your car although parking is difficult to find if the lot is full. Exceptional service. They seat based on how many servers and cooks there are, not how many tables are open. This results in quality service.
