Lake City Cafe

Wow. Wow.. you can't come to Lake City without stopping by Lake City Cafe! We started with loaded tots, then I split the fried catfish platter with my mom. My husband and step dad got the fried pork tenderloin sandwich. Everything was excellent, but I don't think I've ever had a sandwich like that pork tenderloin sandwich. HOLY SMOKES. They butterfly the porkchop and then batter and fry. Its absolutely delicious! We went back a few nights later to grab some of their eggrolls very good. Bummed we never got to try the fried green tomatoes, the truck had been far and few between with not all of their supplies. But that's ok. I'll try them next summer! I heard the dinner menu is even better with some other offerings than lunch.

Oh gosh the food here is wonderful! We had a wide variety of food and everything except for the fries and tater tots are homemade... We learned this from the chef... We had a wide array of food... The pork tenderloin sandwich is humongous and only good for people with big appetites lol. We also enjoyed chicken fried steak, BLT sandwiches, and poor boys... Service was fantastic and Lake City conveniently is conveniently located on the main road

Best spot in Lake City! Their chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and cream corn is delicious!!

A nice restaurant with a pretty good menu. Went today and I had the half order of catfish and my wife had a BLGT. We were very pleased with our entrees. One note of caution about the catfish. It is not counted like they do in the South. A full order is advertised as 10 piece. It is not 10 large fillets, but is cut as chunks. Still tasted good, but was not what I expected. Will go again when in Lake City.

Don't leave Lake City without trying Lake City Cafe for lunch or dinner. I had the chicken fried chicken with mashed taters and white cream gravy with green beans, and it was absolutely delicious! Another ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and another the pulled pork sandwich. Everything was tasty and delicious! Good beer selection and the sodas are cold and bubbly. Our server was very helpful and attentive to our table. Highly recommend!
