Smashburger - La Jolla

Not sure if this place deserves 2 but definitely not more than 2.5. I tried this place, so you don't have to take my word for him. The Oreo-Shake is not almost as good as that of Jack in the box, which is just ok. The Burger is probably not as good as McDonald?s The service is definitely the best part of this place

I like Smashburger, it's a cut over Fast Food. This restaurant is currently being rebuilt. You can't see that from the outside, so it was jamming when we opened the door. We weren't even sure the restaurant was open! All interior seats are removed. I'm just dining out, so it was good. However, there is a bad impression of cleanliness, as it feels more like a building zone than a restaurant. Nevertheless, everything I actually interacted with seemed to be clean. It's been a while since I visited. My perception is that the shares are falling and prices are rising. This, of course, greatly impedes the value. I'm not sure it's better than fast food to justify the price premium. This is a personal decision. the highlight of this visit was the Lord who helped us. He was very friendly polite and personal. I guess so.

Best fast food, better than in and out. You have a lot to do that you want to avoid the rush, but if you go at the right times, the food is excellent the best burger I've ever had and it's fast food? I can't believe it. I know one of the chefs I always go when they work, the shorter guy Mike will do it right. You go the extra length to make sure everything is right, I made my Colorado Burger perfect. The girl in the front was really beautiful and sweet, and his always clean inside, and Shakes are the best. The only thing I recommend is to avoid the rush, the food is better quality if it is made right, which is why a lot of reviews could vary, they are the only smash burger in San Diego and very busy and it is a decent size location, but you can say that they are busy when you see the line from the door. But if it's done right, it's good, I had many good burgers, but I love it here is always fresh and basically any kind of protein or topping you can get any combination you want. I got the Colorado Burger with a regular bun, and it was perfectly melted and meerte, and the paprika grilled perfectly black on one side, but not soggy. With peanut butter shake and smash frits. Next time I have to try something else. I recommend Mike, but I've never been disappointed.

There was a parking lot right in front of the restaurant, they have both indoor and outdoor seating but when we arrived there at 9:30 pm Wednesday night, the staff told us that we can only do take out while there were still people sitting and eating in there indoor seating area, I was confused but we did a takeout order anyway. They have a great selection of their burgers and sandwiches so I was really curious what sides and drinks they have but half of the menu screen was not working, I asked them if they can give me a paper menu but the staff said they don?t have one? My husband and I were shocked to see how small their food was, for the amount of food we paid for, it was too pricey. We first received our chocolate shake, there wasn?t any whipped cream on top, the cup was really small and it wasn?t even a full cup. Then we received the rest of our order but the bag seemed too light for me so we decided to check our order before we go and yes they missed our order? We told them our fries were missing so we waited for another ten minutes for the fries, I supposed that ten minutes they were making our order so I was waiting patiently and really excited for our smash fries but surprisingly when I tried my fries the moment I received it, it was cold and again it wasn?t even full? And their burgers were really small too. The flavor of their fries and burgers were good, actually I really liked the rosemary they put in the fries but the fries were so thin and the burgers were so small, we were really disappointed with our experience at Smashburger.

This location has plenty of parking. It?s next to Tajima. Inside is spacious and so is outdoor seating. Their menu and photos are all advertised for double but you?ll see the single option price in small font below to the right. We got the single bacon smash burger and single bbq bacon smash burger. Also smash burger fries and haystack onions. The bacon smash burger is a typical hamburger with lettuce and tomatoes while the bbq bacon smash burger is like a western burger. It?s sweet and has the haystack onions which are like crispy thin fried onions that goes on green beans casserole. The smash burger fries are like garlic fries. I finished my entire burger and I didn?t feel stuffed when normally I would only eat half a burger elsewhere due to the size. If we do come back, we would both upgrade to the double due to the thin patty. It?s also full of sodium that got me thirsty throughout the day. Their shakes are made with Haagen Dazs. yum!
