Bidra med feedbackArrived at the restaurant for our reservation only to discover that it was closed during regular meal hours. We had made our reservation days in advance.
The menu offers both Indian and Nepalese food. We only tried the Nepalese cuisine and enjoyed the unique flavors on our sample plate. I will definitely come again.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. They call it Nepalese, but it's just a quirky name for Indian food that I love. There are many excellent Indian restaurants here, but this is not one of them. Firstly, there were no other customers when we got there. Two parties came in after us and we dealt with them before we did. We expressly told the waitress everything mild. When we ordered a birayani she forgot to tell us until we complained that it is always spicy. We started with an inedible lentil soup. It was cold and salty. We asked for hot tea and she said they had gone out that afternoon. Our chicken tikka was all sauce and very little chicken. We sent it back and told them to add more chicken. The shrimp dish was the same - all sauce and hardly any shrimp. The sauces over the rice were pleasant, but overpriced for how little you got. We enjoyed the starter of Mo MO and the Chana Masala. I love Mango Lassi, but they just poured it from a 1 gallon container. It was probably pre-made in the supermarket. Don't go here when we have such a large and diverse Indian community with excellent restaurants across the region.
A fairly new addition to the Pleasanton dining scene. A good destination for Nepalese cuisine. We tried the momo, curry and biryani dishes and they were all tasty and filling. We will come back in any case.
We have visited this restaurant three times and we absolutely love it. It is usually not very crowded, and the food is incredibly tasty. The level of spice is just right and not as intense as in other Indian restaurants. I would highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
