Important to manage your expectations here, Tasty Steakhouse is good value for what you pay but the food is not exactly gourmet. Tasty is part of a chain of restaurants in Taipei and is the most affordable, family friendly of the chains food offerings. And be prepared for kids in the dining room, this where Taipei families bring the kids to dinner. Very good value combination meals available at several price levels and the quantity of food is good. Steaks are very tender and cooked to order and roasted chicken is served with nicely crispy skin. Salad was good, larger than expected and soup was also very good, a bit larger portion than might be necessary actually. I was full after my soup and appetizer courses. The appetizer was some odd cheesy, creamy mushroom thing served with nicely toasted toast. Looked interesting but lacked any memorable flavours. Deserts were interesting and nicely done. The mango pannacotta was especially nice.

Fruit and dessert are good. Mains are not impressive. 3star.

Not tasty. Food is subpar, and for the price you can’t expect any good western 5 course meal to be honest. The soup is under-seasoned, the salad starter was just a whole load of ingredients with tartar sauce dumped on top, and the main course is disappointing. The steak tasted like thick stir fry beef. One of the rare times where i don’t finish the dessert as well. Service staff are pleasant and polite, but seem to be understaffed as a few staff are responsible for such a big area that we spent forever in the restaurant waiting for food.
