If you like fast food, go to McDonald's. But if you want to feel the spirit and flavour of South European cuisine, if you prefer fresh and delicious food prepared from scratch for you, while drinking quality wine, so I strongly recommend the Bulgarian restaurant J.W.Teres. I came on the weekend and had a nice dinner with a girl. The food was very delicious. The Bulgarian red wine was perfect for the romantic occasion. The atmosphere was very relaxing and uplifting. The nice juzz music was contributing for the perfect smooth date I had at this place. I was really impressed by the service the owner was very helpful and friendly he offered us a rich selection of aged whiskys. Overall this was one of the best dining experiences I had ever had. My date was happy too and because of the amazing dining experience we had, the thing between us worked out perfectly from this very first date we had at J W Teres

The J.W. Teres is an absolute gem of a restaurant tucked into an unassuming alley in Taipei. Krastyu, the owner and chef, is exceptionally accommodating when you make your reservation (as is required) and he will put together an outstanding assortment of authentic Bulgarian dishes depending on your preferences. With no set menu, he will give you options from that particular day's prime cuts of imported meat along with fresh produce he personally buys at the market that morning. He even opened on the day after Christmas for the only possible reservation I could make with a friend while I was in town for a short layover. Talk about dedication by him and his wonderful staff to provide a quality product to their customers. It was truly a surprise to find a Bulgarian establishment here and it was an absolute pleasure to experience the delicious authentically prepared food, ambiance, and accommodating nature from Krastyu and his staff. I will always highly recommend this restaurant to anyone living in or visiting Taipei.
