Bidra med feedbackCalled into the Station Bar for pizza after a walk in the Grand Canyon, Wentworth Falls and Three Sisters. Beer was great, had a proper local pub feel and pizzas were amazing loads of choice too. Check out their website for the pizza menu.
This is a gem of a place with quite an atmosphere. It is warm and welcoming and the staff friendly, courteous and wanting to assist. Food is excellent and I was surprised at the excellent quality of the pizza in a rural town. As a bar the drinks selection is very large and there is a variety of seating from bar chairs, small tables and booths for the family. In a place like Katoomba with 30% of building closed this is a great example of success. Parking on street is now unlimited so easy to park. Next to railway station so you can get a meal and drink either coming or going
Wow what a place, Walked in with my friend, we adjourned straight to the bar and stood in the left corner while we were deciding what to drink. Staff pushy I was greeted by an arrogant individual that thought it would be appropriate to push my back to tell me that I was in his way. At first I perceived it to be a 50 something guy that was just trying to get my attention. I turned around, excuse me are you okay? You’re being quite rude there?! You can go now…..you can go now….. Lo and behold “I’m the owner of this place, I don’t need you, I think you can go”. No problem mate leaving now. Darl there was 50 something people in your place and you were not busy. Not sure what age you live in, however it’s not appropriate to push your customers around just because you can’t be bothered to walk around them. I have worked in 5 star restaurants and the service industry my entire life. I hope you enjoy your restaurant in your country town. I’ll now enjoy telling my 1000 friends how disgusting your service is. Warm Regards. Disgruntled.
Had a great pizza and a few beers. My go to place whenever I am travelling through the Blue Mountains
This wasn’t our first choice but as it was a Monday night, it was one of our only choices. Not much is open in Katoomba on a Monday night but this place was. As it turned out, it was great and we had a couple of really good wood fired pizzas here. All pizzas have a Blue Mountains themed name and there were some pretty wild options. The ‘Warrimoo’ caught our eye kangaroo fillet marinated in shiraz peppercorn with chilli, spinach, roast capsicum red onion. The really adventurous could go for the ‘Bullaburra’ saltwater crocodile, wild lime ginger marinade and coconut béchamel. We ordered conservatively and went for the ‘Wentworth Falls’ (marinated tiger prawns, chilli, baby spinach, tomato red onion) and a ‘Blackheath’ (chorizo, salami, red onion, roasted red capsicum, jalapeños chilli). Overall, pizzas were great, it was warm and cosy on a cold night, the atmosphere was casual and fun, service was friendly and it was reasonably priced. There was nothing to not like. I would definitely go back.
