Bidra med feedbackOff main road, didn't accept their Northern Lights coupon. We went out of our way to visit because of their support to the Northern Lights Non Profit Fundraiser, but was told that new ownership does not accept coupons that previous owner established with the non profit. Left without purchase to demonstrate resolve. New owner needs to realize that previous offers should be accepted, and by not doing so actually hurts business instead of saving; group would have made significant purchases. No response needed won't be returning.
This review doesn 't pertain to All Hopped 's Up espresso, but to the customer service of one of its employees. My boyfriend and I were cruising around town in search of a place to relax and check in to the outside world via wi fi and we decided to try All Hopped Up. I noticed they had someone at the pick up window so I told my bf I 'd pop in real quick to see if they had wifi before we ordered so I wasn 't wasting anyone 's time. I walked in and saw both employees were busy so I waited for the gentleman to turn around and see me. When he did, I approached the counter and said, with a smile, something like, Hey! (As in, Hi! not Hey you, pay attention to me Do you guys have wifi? My intentions were totally good I was just trying to be quick and to the point. Instead of responding to my question, he doubled down and asked, REALLY SLOWLY, as if speaking to a child, How. Are. You? It was so condescending. He was clearly trying to school me because he thought I was being rude. He caught me off guard so I played along. Once I asked him how he was and he said, Good, , he said, Ok! as in Ok, we got that lesson outta the way! and told me, with attitude, they had wifi if the wifi happened to be working. The whole encounter was really uncomfortable, so we decided to go to Two Sisters Bakery instead. I have to say I was super stoked to try All Hopped Up because of the positive reviews and we are staying at the campground just up the road, so there would 've been plenty of opportunities for me to swing by in the future. This guy totally ruined the experience because he couldn 't keep his assumptions to himself.
This place.... This place.... THIS PLACE is by far the realist deal in town. Being a complete stranger to town on visit, I arrived here and experienced the most friendly, most chatty service for a coffee shack. Staff is extremely friendly and most are knowledgable about the different varieties of coffee that they serve. What I also found comforting, is the extreme honesty of the baristas. If they didn't know the answer to a specific question, they would tell you so along with the adage, that they would personally try to find it out where they can retrieve the answer. As always, I got my coffee black without cream and sugar or whatever else most people put in their coffee to dull out its true flavor. Although I wasn't impressed with their Cafe Americano coffee, I WAS impressed with their expresso. Obviously I should've taken notice of the name of this cool establishment. They do specialize in expressos and I would encourage you to try one or at the very least, have them add it as a shot to your coffee.
We always stop here for coffee out. Michael and Shawn we love you fine men and will treasure our brief encounters with you all. Miss you from Homer.
