Hobart Town Tea Rooms

Lovely little tea room nestled on a busy street. Its run by a lovely husband and wife team to create a wonderful quiet space. They blend most of the teas on site to create the perfect teas while Ron experiments with new scone recipes. They use all Tasmanian produce to create their menu which was fantastic. The scones were very light and fluffy, teamed up with home made jams, it was delightful. The finger sandwiches were very substantial and filling. The teas themselves were expertly blended, but the French Earl Grey was a little light for my taste. Fully recommend! Thanks Lilli and Ron for welcoming us to Hobart.

Had my first High Tea ever here last Saturday and was most impressed. The owners were very friendly, service great, food and tea delicious. Good range to choose from and they have the best scones! I'd recommend them and go back again. I like it's also a small family business so not crowded or loud.

We have been to Hobart town tea rooms twice since they opened. The tea was fabulous. The best authentic Chinese green tea, such as Ri Zhao Green tea and jasmine loose leaf tea we had in town. The exquisite tea sets and the old photos of Hobart make us feel relaxed and warm. We enjoyed the traditional scones which melted in the mouth immediately. The Macha and Date scones are a must try, very flavoursome and healthy and just spot on! Highly recommended when you are having a stroll around in the city. Good location and easy to find out. Give it a go! You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful Hi tea served on gorgeous China! Delicious, the Spong cake was my favourite! Staff were very friendly. And a good price too!

Really friendly staff. Their high tea is really affordable and filling! So much delicious food and you get to tailor it to your tastes. You choose your sandwich filling, type of cake and pot of tea. Gorgeous crockery, extensive gift shop, lovely history and atmosphere. So welcoming!
