Ginger Garlic Chinese - Hamburg

This is the only Chinese food takeout I will get in Hamburg. It's not quite like every other Chinese takeout in the area. First of all, they don't add carrots or peas to their fried rice, which happens to be one of my favorite dishes from any Chinese takeout joint. Secondly, their fried dumplings are homemade and not the typical super thick dough from other places. And last but not least they live up to their name cause they add lots of garlic to many of their dishes. YUM! Some of my favorites (aside from the fried dumplings and pork fried rice) are the sesame chicken, lemon chicken, general tao's chicken, Mongolian beef, and pepper beef with onions (minus the peppers cause I don't like peppers). Earlier this week I also tried their chicken and broccoli which was wonderful. The chicken actually tasted like real chicken and I asked for it to be done with garlic sauce instead of the original white/clear sauce and it was delicious! I typically try to avoid ordering non breaded/deep fried chicken from Chinese takeout because the quality of chicken can be questionable at times, but it was excellent here and I'm so glad I finally tried it. My husband is a fan of their pork Lo Mein since he's more of a noodle guy, and we've also tried their Singapore mei fun which was also very good. The owner lady is super accommodating. I usually order in Mandarin and I ask her to make certain dishes a certain way and they've always made it happen! Small family owned restaurant definitely recommend! Terrible food i ordered beef and broccoli it was undercooked and super salty. i was very disappointed.they gave you 1 packet of condiment and served dried out white rice with the meal never again!!!!! lori a

Place went to sh%t!! Food is no good and the lady there is beyond cheap. I specifically ask for extra hot mustard packets and she gives me 2. Keeps rhem behind her covid curtain. Im done with the place. Hope they close

General toas is that chicken? What is that you pulled apart yuc I don't know how they identify that as chicken what exactly is that ? It is gross truly gross.

Chinese food is one of my favorite foods of all time. I am very particular where I get Chinese takeout. The food Has to be flavorful, the menu has to have the classics, and most importantly the service Has to be stellar. Not only is ginger and garlic flavorful, but the owners and employees are super friendly and they make sure your order is up to your standards. The food is super mega delicious that it's the only place we get Chinese takeout. My husband always gets lo mein and I always get beef and broccoli with white rice. The egg rolls were so tasty. We have to get them at every meal. The wonton soup really satisfies your palate and you can request it without any MSG so it gets the right amount of seasoning. They're pork fried rice is seriously equivalent to crack. I could eat there pork fried rice by the gallon every day. I know it one point they did deliver through the DoorDash app but I think since COVID-19 they had to end that. I really do hope they will bring back delivery and reopen the restaurant for dine in because we really enjoyed the atmosphere. If you're looking for a nice affordable, delicious Chinese takeout place, ginger and garlic is the place for you .
