Hahndorf Chinese Restaurant

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant, enjoying a tasty meal of dim sum, dumplings, chicken and sweet corn soup, followed by delicious main dishes. The service was excellent, the staff were very attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

All of the meals I ordered were full of lovely flavor and just as excellent as they have been for many years at Hahndorf Chinese Restaurant.

Ordered 3 mains and 4 entrees and fried rice for family, they all arrived just warm and a few seemed very stale, i am sure these where frozen meals reheated though to a very low temperature, not sure what was in the rice but tasted like the sweepings from the floor......don't go.

We came to this restaurant with our two kids and were extremely disappointed. The service was terrible, and the outdated and dirty decor made us feel uncomfortable. The food was average at best and lacked authentic Chinese flavors. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My wife sought advice on a chicken dish and a steak dish without sugar. The owner recommended the satay steak, but it arrived in a sweet sauce. I had to eat it as my wife is diabetic. When we raised the issue, the owner responded with, "WE HAVE ALWAYS DONE IT THAT WAY." Despite mentioning that other Chinese restaurants serve a different style of satay sauce, the owner insisted that they receive many compliments on their dish. The fried rice was not sugary, but lacked flavor. We felt our concerns were ignored.
