Gepetto's Hahndorf

Amazing variety of dishes, all bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is fantastic too. We were disappointed to hear that Enzo's will be closing this year, but this could potentially be the ideal replacement for satisfying our Italian food cravings.

I was drawn into this restaurant by a talented singer performing beautiful songs on a bustling night. We were promptly seated and the staff were friendly, despite the busy atmosphere. Our food arrived promptly and we even had the option of fresh chilli sauce, which I enjoyed. The dishes were delicious and well-prepared, with perfectly cooked mussels and tasty oven-baked pizza bread. The only downside was that the accompanying bread was cold and chewy. Overall, it was a delightful Italian restaurant located in a busy town with German heritage.

Such an incredible meal we had at Gepetto's last night. We had the meat platter for two which was generous in its serving, using only high quality meat, all cooked to melt in your mouth perfection. Had the creme brulee for dessert which was amongst the better I have had in a while. Excellent service from the staff and great setting. Can't wait to come back to Hahndorf just to experience a meal here again.

We have been there many times. Our fav was grilled octopus and seafood soup. Last week we went there for our early dinner. I was craving for marinara pasta. There was not in the menu but the lovely staff Name was Cristal if I was right, She tried hard asking the Chef to made special requested for us. And yes I got my pasta marinara.It was a great dinner, lovely staff food was great . Great atmosphere and nice live music: 10/10

Not sure if I’m one hundred percent happy with the food. In the quality side of things, I ordered seafood linguine and only to find 3 empty mussel shells and not enough flavour sauce. Ordered the kids pasta and it’s pretty much the same, sour vegetables bolognese but not enough flavour. Finally ordered Lamb Shank, this was okay but I think it needs vegetables to complete the meal. Overall, I spent $150 but I think I would have enjoyed better meals elsewhere with that budget.
