Wán Gāo - 高野町 日本

I went for lunch, but it turns into an izakaya at night. Despite being run by only one person, I was able to eat without having to wait. The karaage set meal was quite filling, and the curry was mostly made of vegetables, making it almost like shojin ryori (Buddhist cuisine). Having filled my stomach here, I was able to walk a lot in Koyasan, so it was just right.

Located near the altar of the temple, next to FamilyMart. For lunch, they offer curry, pizza, chicken karaage set, and a limited quantity large shrimp fry set. Of course, we tried the limited quantity set and enjoyed two large prawns with a variety of side dishes. Very satisfying. The prawns were deliciously plump. If you have a one-day bus ticket, you can get a free coffee with your lunch. The coffee is also delicious!

This restaurant is run by a beautiful Czech mom and a friendly master. In addition to enjoying wine and herbal teas imported from the Czech Republic, you can also listen to a selection of Western music curated by the master. In a stylish atmosphere, you can enjoy a variety of dishes from classic izakaya items to nasi goreng and pizza. Located right near Danjo Garan, it's the perfect place to relax after visiting the shrine.

高野山とチェコ！なんと面白くて素敵な組み合わせでしょう。 この日はřízekというチェコ風の薄くてサクサクのトンカツの定食を頂きました。 食後のコーヒーも美味しかったです。 こちらの奥様はチェコ出身の方です。 関西でチェコの文化や食べ物に触れることが出来る機会はとても少ないので、レアなお店ですよ。 ピザを食べている方がおられて、とても良い香りが…次回は是非ともピザを頼みたいです。
