Bidra med feedbackThe atmosphere was different, but in no way bad. eating was good and made from ground on, but something different from what mama grew up. the meals were filled and the costs were at points. the baked goods were plentiful and the cinnamon rolls looked amazing. I had the steak tacos that were good, but the tortillas were not mamas safe. I could not find out what was missing, but if they go homemade, they simply take this extra step for authentic only my opinion of course. the woman had the cookies and gravy, but not all consumed so that I tried and it was ok. gravy was on point with a lot of taste again the cookies missing something. son ate the grilled cheese that he is critic and did not eat everything because the cheese was not completely melted. he is 13 and has a statement that most children agree to his age. the pommes were tasty and we swallowed them at the end of our meal. drinks were free refills and self-service, which is good to see. the decor was out there and the mood was something to admire. eating was good everywhere and the staff were helpful. the quantity came shortly after we set ourselves so that this place is busy around the lunchtime. I'd eat here again. the restroom was clean, from which my wife is always enthusiastic.
Coffee was okay. It took 25 minutes to get 6 drinks. Then when we complained about one of the drinks, they put us behind the rest of the line, so we had to wait a while longer. Casing didn't seem to know the menu. There are other places to get coffee in Galveston that we like better.
This place was highly recommended by the owner of the RV resort where we lived. My wife and I agree that this was one of the best meals we had in Galveston. The service was excellent, the staff was helpful and very pleasant as the owners. The place is a family business and business and all food is made by scratches and by own recipes. Prices were very modest and did not reflect in any way the superior quality of food and services. We paid half as much as we did in other restaurants on the island. We also thought the decoration and music was very pleasant. The old school academies gave everything a very nice touch. I highly recommend this place if you are in Galveston and want a good quality meal at an excellent price. This will be absolutely on our list of places to go.
A great place with a variety of foods. Good American comfort food. I had some loaded pommes with chili, cubed tomatoes, halapenios and avocado. It was delicious. It has a great atmosphere. Many paintings, works of art, pictures and lights on the walls. A smaller section with live music and a bar I think. Overall recommend checking this place.
This is a very eclectic joint. I had an Al Capone Italian sandwich with the best tasting tater tots. My wife had a brisket quesadilla which was delicious. They have a varied menu, lots to choose from. We will definitely return.
