Solar Da Ajuda - Funchal

We arrived late from our flight, we knew that this restaurant has an amazing reputation. Despite they were obviously ready to close their doors , we were welcomed in, they prepared the most amazing Chicken Fajitas and a wonderful steak cooked on a stone. My partner said it was the best steak she’d ever tasted. (It was delicious) This restaurant is a one where you simply come for the best food and service.

Great food, lovely staff, you can’t ask for more.

We came across this restaurant on our first visit to Madeira and were pleased to see it is still going. We ate here twice during our stay and both times the food was great. There is a large menu to choose from and really we were spoilt for choice and could have gone back a third time! The outside isn't very inspiring but inside is fine with lovely table settings and the staff are welcoming.
