Bidra med feedbackWent specifically for the Texas Twinkies and was disappointed. The jalapeños were not cooked at all and the bacon was raw. Not sure what brand or type of bacon they used but it would not turn that hickory color it’s supposed to, even after coming home and putting them in the air fryer. Also, all of my food was lukewarm, had to come home and reheat it. Definitely not worth the $75 I spent
They no longer have a restaurant. They are a food truck on the side of the road. If you're looking to sit down and eat, go somewhere else. If you get the food when it's fresh it's delicious, but plenty of times I've ordered from them and it was not. I was been my money at barbecue places which are more consistent with their quality
This place has really great BBQ! The only reason we stopped going is because every time we try to go they are closed for one reason or another. And now they are closed again! And I’m not talking about they are out of BBQ either. We’ve called several times to place advance orders and they aren’t open. Drove by there and they’re closed. If I didn’t have the help I needed to properly run my business I would be in there doing it myself. I really don’t get it.
We had a wonderful time. The food is great so is the atmosphere. The people are really friendly. We will be back soon tell others. Price is good for the value of the food.
My husband and I are naturally drawn to support local businesses close to our home. Typically I give a 3 strike to never again based upon the second try at a place of business. Our first experience was back in 2022 with the BBQ loaded baked potatoes. Definitely a thumbs down in comparison to our dining experiences at other places. Being an optimistic, I decided we should try a different entrée from the menu for the second try. Waaaay better than before. From memory, we had the smoked turkey and brisket. However, the sides were not so great. There was so much mustard in the potato salad, it was like drinking vinegar (and I love mustard)However, if one item is not to your liking, you don 't remove the dining place from your foodie list, of course, after the second attempt for good food. So, a few months later,(recently), we decided to get food from there again. Unbelievable. The brisket and pulled pork was dry and had zero taste. It actually tasted days old. (We 've all experienced refrigerated BBQ leftover after cookouts). Unfortunately, I completely forgot how nasty the potato salad was, yet I somehow ordered the same side. Maybe it was good faith. The Mac n Chz...if I wanted a box of Kraft with no taste, I could have ran to Wal Mart. The banana pudding was just pudding with a sprinkle of cookie CRUMBS. The ribs were rubbery with the marrow in them.Advice: It 's not nice to cut corners when people are taking their hard earned money and selecting your place of business to feed their family. Maybe it depends on the day you 're visiting(we came on a Sunday afternoon) but my experience does not come to close to the 5 stars I 've seen on Google. Never again. STRIKE 3!
