Bidra med feedbackWe hired the Chopstick Truck for our daughter's wedding and they did an incredible job. They had beautifully decorated summer rolls, barbecue meat, blackened tofu dishes that were all delicious. They were punctual, stayed within budget, and had excellent communication skills. I would highly recommend them for any event.
Not sure what the others are talking about the bad reviews. I received friendly service, fresh ingredients at a decent price. I don't care who owns it or whether it's truly authentic, it was delicious and I enjoyed it. it is food truck food, but...not different from taking a seat restaurant.
I thought this is managed by the Vietnamese family or with an authentic Vietnamese cuisine, even if it is on a food truck. it is found by 3 beautiful looking women (obvily not asian.) the vermicelli looks good, but the fish sauce is nothing like what she. in a restaurant. rindmeat vermicelli costs $18 and pork is $16 in a small round pullout bowl! there is no hot chili sauce in the fish sauce. the saracha hot sauce they ask is extra and they charge it another $2 for a tiny container of it! the subs are frickin expensive as heck! I mean, really authentic bánh mì subs are like 6-$8 most. they charge $14 for a 10 bark submarine with koleslaw between a soft submarine back! then to finish it, the Vietnamese ice cream is not the rich French ice cream with the sweet condensed milk. it is literally your normal run of the mill black coffee on ice with some milk. it is so watered that it is like a cold coffee drink. I would drive to cranbrook, just to have authentic Vietnamese cuisine in pho saigon for half price!
This restaurant is overpriced and lacks sufficient fish sauce in the Vermicelli noodle dish, resulting in a fairly tasteless experience. The salad seemed untrained and added water, worsening the dish. The pork and vermicelli shells were just okay, but were overly watered down from the salad. The prices were steep at $16 for the vermicelli and $7 for two small spring rolls. Payment by card started at 18% tip, which was unexpected. Despite being located near a building that said "Chopstick Truck HQ," the restaurant did not offer the same quality or value as other Vietnamese restaurants. I would not recommend returning.
$34 for 2 vietnamese subs and 2 pops. Oh and that included our tip. Unfortunately not a good meal at all. Missing some required ingredients I am positive and the meat was not good either. Would be nice if the tables looked clean. Never stopping...here again.
