The Wine Bistro At The Griswold Inn

Such a unique place! It's just oozing with history and stories. The decor really fits the theme too. Food and service were both great! They had live piano playing in the taproom and a band slated for later. We had a great time overall!

Family gathering in one of the oldest restaurants (buildings) in this country, who could ask for better. The history alone gets this place 5 stars. If you are in our near Essex CT, don't miss out on visiting this great place.

OMG, the band on Saturday night was sooooo good! The lead singer can belt out some tunes and the rest of them can play!!! We had lunch there and heard there was live music which, is the only place in this small town that has it!! The house cab was good and only $10 a glass so not bad. It's small but that didn't stop me from finding a little room on the floor to dance up a storm! They have outside seating as well for anyone who worried about covid! Definitely stop by thishistoric place when you're in town!

Really fun, good eating and wine. the menu needs to be updated/changed more frequently.

Our meals and wein couples were amazing to be sung by the beautiful time singers with lean entertainment, was a bonus.
