Carlson's Landing - Essex

Enjoyed our dinner tonight. Great apps with real creative flavors by the Chef. Main course the Filet and Cod were outstanding. Both had very unique flavors added by the Chef's creativity. OUTSTANDING.

We were pleasantly surprised! We were here years ago when they first opened and we’re not thrilled. Glad I gave them a second chance. Started with the beet salad and the tuna tartare then had the swordfish, though it was small it was not over cooked, and the hamburger which my husband loved!

Restaurant was very nice, clean, bright, beautiful restrooms. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was very good. We enjoyed our first visit there. Will definitely plan to go back..

Ended up choosing to sit at the bar since we were early for our reservation. Third time here and have loved everything we've ordered. Had the short ribs and burger last night Like everywhere bar was a bit short staffed, but the guy working it was fantastic. Friendly and kept moving as quick as he could. Bar is a great setting and not over crowded with stools and cramped like some, outdoor seating in the summer and fall is wonderful too. Definitely recommend.

Great new year dinner and experience, staff was terrific and although a more limited menu for the evening the choices were good enough and exceptional quality
