Bidra med feedbackOh absolutely never again. One star: half for the fact that they were open today (Thanksgiving , and the other half for the fact that I received the food. Nothing else. Their chicken Shwarma Fries was advertised to have sauces, and what came was reheated fries, with oversalted, hard chicken pieces and what seems like patches of sour cream? Look at what the picture of it looks like on the menu, and compare it to what I got (I get it, marketing, professional pictures, but like... look at it! I don't even know what to say. Certainly never ordering from that place again.
We ordered the four lunch specials $13 ea): chicken tikka, chicken kabobs, and chicken shawarma. Each lunch plate came with saffron rice, hummus, and salad. The table was served with two huge nan breads. Overall, delicious food, generous portions, quick service.
My husband and I shared the family classic...Oh my goodness!!! That was one of the best meals we have had in a long time! And SO much food! We took about 1/3 of it home and will have it for tomorrow's dinner. You must have the Ali Baba bread with homemade hummus! We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area. Our waitress was also very sweet.
This place is GREAT! I always order family platters for takeout for my work. Authentic middle eastern food. It doesn’t get any better than this. That is why they won best Mediterranean Restraunt award in Escondido. Friendly service, friendly chefs. Friendly management overall. Thank you for being open here on Escondido and serving us the best Iraqi food.
We were in the area and decided to look for a place to grab lunch. I do love Mediterranean food and the reviews seemed promising, so we went. The outside is lacking and could use a remodel. The inside was nice and large with small chandeliers throughout the room. The bathrooms were nice and smartly decorated. The waitress was nice. She was patient with my indecisive family when it came time to order. When the waitress brought the food, we were instantly intimidated. The portions were huge for lunch specials. Still, it was welcome because we were hungry and up for the challenge. The bread was so soft and fluffy. That was the talk of the table. The humus was creamy and flavorful. My husband described it as the 'the best he 's ever had '. The cucumber salad was light and refreshing but the flavors were still bold. The falafel was crunchy on the outside and packed a punch with a burst of flavors in the inside. That was only my second time ever eating falafel and I wasn 't disappointed. The meat (chicken beef shawarma; and beef kabobs) were okay. They went the stars of the show but they accomplished the task at hand. We ended up taking it home and had enough leftovers for dinner. It was even better. Overall, if you 're in the area, this is a great spot to check out.
