Bidra med feedbackI ordered through ubereats because I live about 30ish minutes away and always wanted to try african food. The dish I’ve been dying to try was their egusi/pounded yam (fufu. I bought the egusi with chicken (they give 2 huge drum sticks , I am so happy with my experience. I assumed I’d love the chicken more since that was something I was more familiar with but the egusi (melon seeds was the star of the dish. Next time, I think I will just get the egusi itself with no meat! Pounded yam (fufu tasted like flavorless mashed potatoes which went very well with the egusi. I absolutely loved this dish. I also ordered the jollof rice with chicken (2 huge drumsticks and .. omg divine. It was AMAZING. i loved it. I shared these two entrees with another person who also fell in love with the dishes. Both were 10/10. My only complaint is the meat pie because it was leaning towards the drier side the dough was very thick but because the larger entrees swept me off my feet, it made up for the meat pie (it did not taste bad, just did not compare to egusi/jollof rice.
If you are a true Nigerian then this restaurant is not for you. The flavor of the food does not taste like home and honestly for the price charged, I could have bought the ingredients and made it myself and it would have tasted better. The price is high for the portion size given. And lastly the most annoying thing is that they don’t abide by their hours on Google or on their website.
I ordered from Uber Eats. Fast service, they pushed my food out to the driver relatively fast. It may be because I don't often taste unique food, or it's been a bad day, but I didn't find it very tasty. This is my first and last time ordering from this place or African Cuisine; it might not be a thing I'll ever enjoy.I had gotten the Egusi Soup with chicken and pounded yam. The soup itself did not smell very good, and the pounded yam had a hint of plastic taste (Which might be because of the wrap). The soup was also a bit bland and had a bad aftertaste (It might've just been me). However, the chicken was rather good, which is the reason for the three stars. Thank you for this experience of African Cuisine. It is not for me.
First time and last time. Jollof rice not tasty.cost is too much for quality. $45 for one wrap of eba and vegetable soup of 3 meat and jollof rice with veggies at the side.
I ordered from Uber eats and I’m sorry to say it was the worst food ever. The plantain was green, the jellof was so nasty and dry. The ayamase was disappointing. I wont recommend going here to eat! Very disappointing. I was excited there’s an African restaurant close to me. Do better guys!
