Fantastic food, lovely staff, very good value. We had quiche, Cullen skink and ciabatta. Coffee was great. Staff were welcoming and brilliant.
Lovely little cafe, staff were so warming! Delicious cakes and great coffee. Good service and would definitely recommend.
We are extremely happy to visit WOLCB for a delicious croque monsieur, which was just what we needed to brighten our days of working from home and homeschooling. The food was beautifully made and incredibly tasty. The fragipane tarts were exceptional and made for a perfect treat with an afternoon cup of tea. Special thanks to owners Ana and Micka for consistently providing top-quality food and service.
We were so excited to have a reservation at Water of Leith that we both got the time wrong and arrived an hour early for lunch. The Botanic Garden was chilly and starting to rain. The kind lady mentioned that she likes customers to be on time, but understood our mistake. The restaurant was fully booked, but she managed to squeeze us in. We had a good laugh, went for a walk, and returned an hour later for our reservation. Due to Covid restrictions, we couldn't have wine, so we opted for a pot of strong tea. We enjoyed a delicious sweet potato and coconut curry, tangy macaroni cheese, pear and almond tart, and natural cheesecake. The food was great value, and the flat white coffee was excellent. We had to go back to our hotel to sleep off our meal. Thank you, Water of Leith, we'll be back next time.
