Gretna Green Cafe - Dumfries Galloway

Coach Trip Comfort break was a rush affair due to having to go to various stations for food ,tea and coffee and cutlery, the food was addequate but not over exciting...It filled the gap

We spent time here this afternoon had coffee here in the sunshine. A beautiful setting for a cafe with very friendly helpful staff.

The café located inside Thornton's Sweet shop offers a variety of delicious food options. While the café is small and can get busy, the staff remains friendly and accommodating even when under constant customer pressure.

Stopping off for a break whilst travelling up to the Highlands I bought a scone with butter and jam. This scone was disgusting, the mixture was not prepared properly so their were white ingredients showing and no glazing the whole scone crumbled into a MESS when cut in half. The staff exchanged the scone for me so first class service. That is why three stars other than that please sort out your scone maker. Not a good advertisement for your cafe.

Reasonable prices here. Meals around £5-£7. Plenty of room although gets busy as several coaches stop here
