Bidra med feedbackWorst Mexican food ever. Went on a Saturday a couple weeks ago, ordered to go: Quesadilla de asada Taco salad with chicken 3 tacos de asada Quesadilla was super greasy and tasted like the grill. Looked pretty unappetizing. It was a good sized tho. Taco salad was OK, tasted and looked just OK. Tacos didn't have much meat and are WAAAAY overpriced at $3.50 each. Salsa de rojo was watery and pretty much tasteless. One and done at that place, if you ain't got it down yet, you will never get it right. Prices are very high compared other taquerias, anywhere.
I am so happy to have some bomb ass authentic Mexican food in my hood. And honestly, even if you live in Bellingham, I would say it is worth the drive. I would love to say I've tried everything on the menu, but that would be a lie. The birria tacos have been sold out both times I've been to their new location. They must be good! But I'm also someone who orders the same thing over and over because I know it's good. My go to is the adobada torta with jalapeno and no tomatoes. It's in the top two best tortas I've ever had. I think the only thing that would make it better would be guacamole... which they have but it's not your average guac. It's more liquidy than I'm used to. OMG or if they had a pombazo!!! I've also tried an adobada burrito. It was huge!!!! Same with the torta. They also serve boozy beverages, if that's what you're into. If you're in Maple Falls, definitely stop in for a bite to eat. You won't regret it.
This is their new name. Ju Juan A Mexicans is now Michoacana. I did not eat here before the new owners took over all I can speak to is how they are now, which is delicious! Huge Burritos! Delicious looking Margaritas! Great, attentive waitstaff. If you are traveling through town, I definitely recommend a stop in, I will be for sure!
Little spot right on the side of Highway 542 close to Mt. Baker Nat'l Forest. Service was quick; it helped that I got here just before the dinner rush started. Margarita was made from scratch and plenty strong. Really fresh food with a Michoacán influence. The complimentary chips salsa came with salsa verde, rojo, pico de gallo. My ceviche tostada was excellent! Unfortunately, the Spanish rice was both dry and plain (had no peas carrots , beans (pinto refritos was barely warm, so I can't give it 5 stars. Kind of a big deal because growing up in Austin Texas I have pretty high standards from Mexican fare and almost no other place in the PNW has gotten 5 from me. NOTE: The labor shortage is still a THING people, so don't judge restaurants and other service heavy businesses if their staff are new or tired. P.S. The pico de gallo has a leettle too much salt for most folks (I did enjoy . Try and refrain from salting that quite as much. :
