Adelaide At L'auberge - DEL MAR

Food was great, service was terrific and view was incredible. Lovely place for lunch or brunch.

Christmas brunch was pricy and not worthy. My reservation was 30 minutes before the closing time range. Our table was lovely with an ocean view. Our server TJ was attentive. The sea food station and sea food chowder were delicious. They ran out of the lamb at the carving station and only had roast beef. They apologized, but no discounted pricing. We were told the pasta was freshly made pasta but both the mac and cheese and rigatoni were dry and uneventful. The salads and desserts were just okay. The buffet serving tablecloths were soiled with perviously dropped food and needed a refresh. In summary, the Christmas meal was a disappointment.

We came to the Christmas Brunch Buffet and although the food was overall good, there was lots to be desired. There were no breakfast specialty items with eggs or meats. The food display tables were messy and unkept. The decoration sparse and uninteresting. Be aware that an added 20% gratuity and 5% service charge was automatically included. So for $460 (for 2 ppl and no alcohol), we expected SO much more! Finally, having dogs roam through the food buffet and dining room was very uncomfortable. I know the hotel is dog friendly but having big dogs on the dining couch cushions in an upscale restaurant was a bit much.

I’m so sad to say I would not recommend Adelaide nor will I be returning.

Delicious good, lovely ocean view. Quiet restaurant, with spacious seating.
