Bj's Brewhouse Albany - Colonie

For having such a large bar they have the WORST bartenders I've ever seen. They are more interested in cleaning glasses than pouring drinks. Been there 4 times recently and it gets worse and worse. I just sat at the bar for 10 minutes and didn't even get acknowledged! I left Horrendous

Excellent bar with good options and well balanced drinks. Really good customer service at the bar as well. The food is good. They have basic dishes and they do a solid job with them. They're not striking out but they aren't exactly swinging for the fences either. This place has a nice atmosphere although it's very loud. Definitely don't come here with a quiet person. The reason I can only give them 3 stars is the customer service. Multiple times I have been here and the wait staff has made mistakes with either my order or the order of one of my friends. The wait times are horrendous. If you come hungry, you'll starve before you get your food. Every time I come here they don't have multiple menu items available. Several times I have ordered something, and the waiter comes back 20 minutes later to tell us that a menu item isn't available. If you have some time to kill and a little patience this is a great place to come to for a drink and some solid food. I highly recommend coming here if you're just looking for a good drink at the bar.

I like BJs I travel to NY a lot for work and I've had them a few times. My food was great. My service however could've been better. I sat at a high top for maybe 3 minutes then another 2 gentlemen sat at a high top after me. They were then greeted by a server before me. Not a huge deal, I'm assuming the server just didn't see who arrived first. I ordered and ate, food was delicious then I get the bill and wondered why it was so cheap. It was happy hour and she didn't mention anything!! I was so disappointed I would've ordered more food and alcohol had I know! Love BJs but maybe the servers need some more training or tips. Still will still return

My friend visiting from Massachusetts and I ordered the Santa Fe which is suppose to include-Crisp romaine blackened chicken breast red onions fire-roasted red peppers jack cheddar cheese avocado sweet corn tomatoes crispy corn tortilla strips santa fe dressing. The salad came and yes the romaine was filling the bowls. There was a small chicken breast and tomatoes and tortilla strips. We were talking and eating since she had to get back on the road. Later on this evening I remembered having the salad several times before and it had all of the above ingredients. So we were shorted the red onions, roasted red peppers the jack and cheddar cheese and sweet corn. I should have realized this right when our order was received but being in a hurry we just ate. Pretty sad when your kitchen neglects to make the salad correctly. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

We stopped here for dinner while we were in the area to visit family. We used the app to check in for the waitlist and it said there was a 5 to 10 minute wait. When we checked in at the restaurant, we were told it would be an extra few minutes. There were at least another 5-6 parties waiting to be seated. Since we had to wait, I decided to use the restroom. While walking through the restaurant, I noticed probably a third the tables were open and unused, yet there was still a large amount of people waiting. While we were waiting, another party of 4 came in and were seated immediately. I could understand if they had possibly used the app, but the couple next to us had used the app and had still been there waiting for over 30 minutes. The host seemed like he couldn't be bothered to be at work and was dismissive of everyone when they asked how much longer. Our wait ended up being 40 minutes when the hostess said it was going to be only 5 to 10 more minutes, at which point we decided to leave. 5 minutes after we left, we received a text notification letting us know our table is ready. This is a horrible app if you're told a wait time that doesn't match what the restaurant really has. We had been here once before and found it just average, nothing special.
