Cook Out - Collinsville

I love the food at Cookout, even if the presentation is comically bad. The folks there were helpful and patient with our indecisiveness, but this particular Cookout has completely eschewed dining in. All of the windows were blacked out and they've replaced their customer entrance door with a locked heavy steel door.Food: 5/5

Cook out is great. Service ? I mean they can use words like..thank you..have a good day... not just throw your food at you and close the window.Food: 4/5

These guys deserve tips and I do tip them well when I can. Hard at it they are. Well organized, stocked, fast, efficient, helpful fair price. Love it! Could use identical establishment in same parking lot.

I love Cookout. I can't give it 5 stars though because it's not quite there, all-in-all. That said, my favorite thing there is the cheese bites. Yesss, delicious.I used to go just about every week and order a big tray with a quesadilla, walking taco, cheese bites, and a huge tea. But, my walking tacos have now been RUINED, because they have started replacing the taco meat with some sort of bitter, burnt chili. I took one bite, spit it out, and threw it away. It smelled terrible too! Not sure why they changed the Walking Taco but it is a mistake. I now make mine at home.I do still eat at Cook Out though, but just get double the cheese bites instead. And I often add a milkshake, since they are also delicious. I do have a complaint about those though; recently the size of the shake has been greatly reduced. Still costs the same though!
