The Rocket - COCCONATO

Our visit to The Rocket was very memorable. Upon entering the wait staff approached us and asked if we were from America. We wondered how she knew but answered yes. How nice that she spoke English and greeted us so nicely. We sat down and perused the menu of many, many, pizza choices. We ordered a beer and my husband and I ordered a pizza. The pizza here is the size of a medium in the US and is very inexpensive. This place has the best pizza I have ever had, and I 've had plenty. We were finally told that our Innkeeper, Benedetta from Sotto la Luna Bruna B&B, had called ahead to let them know we would be coming in. We truly enjoyed the food and the very pleasant surroundings and waitress.

We ate here 4 years ago and the pizza was awesome. Not sure what happened between then and now. First off we arrived a few minutes before opening and said we had no problem waiting. As we sat outside we could see into the restaurant and noticed they employees were eating. This was fine, however, as 19:00 arrived they continued to eat, char and laugh while the customers waited outside. Finaly at 19:10 they opened the doors and showed us our seats. We ordered pizza again expecting the same delicious pizza. Wow, were we surprised. It was terrible. Not even cooked through and the condiments on top were slimy. UGH. We also had to keep reminding our waiter to bring our drinks. The service needs some updating. We probably won 't eat here again. So sorry as I know that they can do better.

We were taken here by Alberto from La Dolce Vita Bed and Breakfast in Frinco, 20 minutes away. The drive here was worth it. It is housed in an old train station, the service was friendly, efficient and delivered with a smile. The food was well cooked, we had the pizzas and seafood, all at a very reasonable price.

We enjoyed the pizza here, its a large place and can accommodate large groups. Has a playground outside for the kids in case there is a wait. Ask them to slice your pizza because it was a little hard to cut.
