The Cassowary Cafe - Cape Tribulation

Food was just ok. Service was good and food came out quickly. The croc spring rolls were yummy! Burger was 6/10

We had a delicious dinner at this restaurant. Had the calamari for entree, which was the best we’ve eaten in the entire time we’ve been in FNQ, and had the crocodile and curry for mains, both of which were delicious. Highly recommend.

Had lovely dinner there, the Spanish Mackerel was delicious, good breakfast too. The staff attentive and very pleasant.

Nice atmosphere, being surrounded in the jungle. When you book you are not told they have pizza or pasta nights and that's all, nothing else not even a salad. Very odd that you are made to make a reservation however, when you get there the host dosen't even ask your name and seats you anywhere, seats on the larger tables were so uncomfortable needs a cushion. The waiters are all over the place, not knowing anything about what they even have in stock to drink, also wearing thongs as a server is not a good look anywhere, even when in the tropics. Food was lovely though.

We made a reservation but when we arrived, we were informed that they had run out of water and only pizza was available. We ended up ordering the BBQ chicken pizza, which was just average. The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful and the staff were very friendly.
