Riverside Lounge - Cape Broyle

Ok.... this nice little joint is worth the drive up the Southern Shore. The fish and chips is perfect piping hot and crispy. Order it with a side of their slaw and the meal is dead on. The chowder is so thick that the spoon almost stands up in it. The place is spotless clean and the staff are so very friendly. This is a can 't miss Sunday drive type of experience. I will be back for sure ....

We have been there many times visiting from St John's. Great food and great experiences there every time. Food is delicious and service is outstanding !! Friendly staff that actually care and are proud of their restaurant !!

Chocolate shakes, soft serve ice cream, nachos (better than Jungle Jim's) fish (light fluffy and moist inside) with fries and small but tasty moose burgers! Fast yummy food with a great wrap around patio. Great place to go after kayaking with Stan Cook down the road.

I needed a quick place to eat before heading out onto kayak tour down the road. The server helped point out items on the menu that are quick to prepare, and when I inquired about one that wasn't, she offered to ask the kitchen to get a time estimate. Sure enough, they said it would be ready in 5 minutes. I had a simple meal of deep-fried scallops and chips. The scallops were fresh (of course) and delicious, and even the fries were just the kind of fries I love! I didn't finish in time so they packed up the leftovers, processed my payment, and sent me on my way in time for my tour!
