Rifugio Gardetta - Canosio

We thought here as a snack (and a beer) on the way from pratorotondo to preit over the gardetta pass. just a short stop, but we were impressed by the friendly welcome, service and eating that was fresh and good

Gardetta is one of the best places in the val maira and the landscape between the mountains is something they can not miss. the hütte rifugio is a mountain hut managed by the staff of cai, the official mountain federation. Unfortunately, the local managers tend to be severely disturbed by tourists who are treated as disturbing in this fantastic natural location. in this way the restaurant and gastronomy lost the ability to recognize the responsible eco-friendly tourist from the others. they all treat pretty badly.
