Lone Star Southern Grill - Brenham

We arrived early before Dinner hr and after lunch hr so it looked deserted. We had the fried mushrooms as an appetizer, they seemed over cooked very hard. I also had pasta and chicken it was very good and my wife had the chicken with Swiss cheese she said it was very good and cooked well.

The food is ALWAYS GREAT!!!However, the wait staff could use a bit of improvement. The 3 Stars for Service is because our waitress only came to our table (when we were able to get her attention) to refill our glasses.....then again, I really cannot hold her at fault though because maybe it was a staffing issue that day.

Horrible waiter. Served overcooked but cold chopped steak. Sent it back, still a bit overcooked but hot. Forgot gravy. Waited for to go box. Cashier had to bring. No check. Had to get Mgr to get check. Won't be going back. Too expensive for poorly cooked food and lousy service

Our waitress was wonderful! Wish I knew her name! Older lady. Food is expensive and mediocre. We’ve eaten here multiple times. Today the food wasn’t great. $8 for a kids meal and they basically shrink flationed our fries. Very little fries on plate. Extremely long wait for our food seriously it took forever for food to come to table! Asked for steak medium well and it came well… my father in law mentioned having pink in his burger lol. The worst part was just how hot the section we were in was. It was hot even our waitress mentioned it. Place is expensive for how mediocre the food is but there’s only so many places to eat in a little pass through town.

I ask for a hand picked Fat juicy Ribeye and MAN! it was delicious!Both types of frys are from a frozen bag.I guess that 's what you have to do to make a profit.The Squash Casserole was a bit old on a Sunday evening.The gravy on the chicken fried Chicken was good which is a good thing because the chicken was dry.My wife enjoyed it. I 'm a bit more picky. We eat out a lot and it takes a while to find the real gems.The wait staff was a little layed back.We finished everything before we got our drinks refilled and that was only by request. If you want your table cleared be willing to request it or you 'll just have to have desert over the top of your dirty dishes.I don 't think I 'll be eager to return any time soon but as restaurants go, it 's right there in the middle. Not great, not terrible.The Skillet Cookie is not bad. Well momma told me that if ya got nothing good to say than say nothing.The Ribeye was good mom.
