Bidra med feedbackI highly recommend the fantastic set menu at this restaurant!
I enjoy this restaurant and they offer delivery services.
First restaurant meal out of lockdown, went as family of with young children. Food was delicious although the ma po tofu was too peppery for most of us if you like it spicy this place is perfect. Dan Dan mian was flavoursome...and the noodles were a good texture. We also ordered the lamb with vermicelli in soup, dumplings and vegetables. It was a green veg I've never heard of (and still don't know what it's called) but recommended by the waitress and it was tender and perfectly cooked. Portions were enormous. Service was good and well-meaning although we struggled with the language barrier (some spoken Chinese would definitely help Would return without hesitation, highly recommended.
While my favourite café is closed for refurbishment I am looking for an alternative for good Chinese food. This place isn’t it. The menu description was simple: braised pork intestine. What I got was a bowl of mostly potatoes, a few shreds of some form...of meat and a lot of dry chilli drowning in oil. Lots of oil. Really, oil to a depth of half a centimetre over everything. There was no way I could finish it. In fact, when the (over cooked) rice is the best thing about it then what more can I say?
They have this buffet hotpot for which is not cheap but there are not that many choices available to order. Not only that, the portion for each order was only enough for person when there were two of us. We ordered the second...time after finishing the first dish which came quite promptly. Then, when we ordered the third time, it didn't come until mins later. For the fourth time we ordered, the waitor was stopped by the woman in charge of the cash register who came over and reminded us in an arrogant manner to finish off the remaining or pieces of meat on the plate before re-ordering (I committed the inexcusable error of ordering with food still on the plate in view of the minutes wait in the order Most unbelievably, that woman picked up a spoon and stirred in the hotpot to see if there were any food left hidden in the soup! What sort of attitude is this! We will never ever go to this restaurant again.
