The Plaice Fish - Birmingham

I have been going to the Plaice fish bar on Baldwin’s Lane every Friday since they took it over around 7 years ago. They serve the best fish and chips in Birmingham if not the Uk. The portions are generous and quality excellent. The family who own it are great and very hard working. If I could give it more 5 stars i would.

Doing a spot of DIY at my son’s nearby and took a break for lunch. We decided on fish and chips. Glad we did. It took a few minutes for the fish fry but it was well worth the wait. Accompanied by a mound of chips, DELICIOUS!

I’ve not long moved into the area and have tried a few of the local chip shops, this is by far the best one in the area, if not birmingham as a whole. The staff are nice and friendly and the food is always fresh and hot. I would recommend this chippy to anyone who wants to listen!

This is the best chip shop by far. Food is always cooked fresh, fish is beautiful and the batter is so light and crispy. The kebabs are very tasty. The staff are very friendly. I won’t go anywhere else!
