Bidra med feedbackI give this place a 5 star.....the menu is simple an known for a family recipe on frying up a good tenderloin....its a small long narrow bar with seating tables along the wall an bar stools along the bar itself.....the owners are new tenants an if your into blackhawk helicopters an want to talk flying or any other conversation you picked a good place.....now back to the tenderloin....I have to say its a good one....being Im a tenderloin kinda guy....I'll come back .....for the price for an good sandwich an fries about 10 bucks not including your beverage....I give them 2 thumbs up for good food an conversation....
Awesome bar and great food! Love the atmosphere and the owners are super nice. Order the tenderloin, it is awesome! Definitely coming back
The 1949 Tavern now has a coffeehouse starting July 15th. It's very convenient, right on the strip on Main Street in Beech Grove. Perfect for a quick morning stop. We were out yard sale-ing this morning and remembered seeing something about them now serving coffee on the Franklin Township chat. The owner was very nice and the blueberry muffin was delicious! They have a limited menu with just a few coffee, latte, and mocha selections along with a few baked goods, but the prices were reasonable.
Formerly Harvey's, the 1949 Tavern is a small town dive bar with small town prices friendly service. We stopped in on a first Friday and were overjoyed with the $3 special- orange Moscow mules. Appetizers were plentiful and just as reasonably priced. The decor and set up feels situated back in time, comfortably in the late 90's. Most of the customers were in their 30-40's. I'm sure we will be repeat customers in the future.
Great time at a dive bar downtown Beach Grove. Very casual with a fun atmosphere and live music!
